What Barack Obama’s Economic Plan Does for Internet Marketers

obama
Daniel Pereira asked:

There are a few great things about Barack Obama’s new economic plan, and some of them should help us out as internet marketers. But, with the positives come the negatives. There are parts of Obama’s economic plan that might hurt us. First, let’s start with the best news…

The most exciting thing for internet marketers is that part of Obama’s new economic plan is to deploy what politicians are calling Next-Generation Broadband. With this plan, Obama wants to bring broadband to every community in America. Overall, this should eventually bring the costs of broadband internet down across the nation. Also, the internet users that are still on dial-up will likely switch over to faster internet, meaning more chances for them to stay on your site instead of clicking away because your graphics are taking too long to load. Overall, with this plan implemented, more of America should spend even more time online, meaning more chances for you to make a sale.

There are a couple of other parts of Obama’s economic plan that could turn into positives depending on your market niche. Part of the Obama plan is to issue a $1,000 dollar emergency energy rebate. This rebate is said to be a type of “down payment” for Obama’s long-term plan to give middle-class families at least $1,000 per year in tax savings. The personal savings rate here in the United States in the lowest that it has been since the Great Depression. We seem to have turned into a society of instant gratification. As much as I would love many Americans to put this extra $1,000 towards savings or debt, I believe most everyone will continue to spend this extra income on whatever they want. So that means there’s an extra $1,000 each year that families could use to make even more online purchases.

Another positive in Obama’s plan is the tax relief for small businesses and start-up companies. Obama wants to eliminate all capital gains taxes for these businesses in order to encourage the creation of more jobs. Since we work online, most of us don’t owe capital gains taxes, but some of us might. A better positive for most all internet marketers is the proposed “Making Work Pay” tax credit which promises a $500 credit to almost every worker in America, which looks like it will include self-employed small business owners.

O.K., now for the negative aspects of Obama’s plan: All through the debates you have heard Obama say that nobody making less than $250,000 per year will see a tax increase. He has even been quoted saying that these people should all see a tax cut. Well, what if you are making more than $250,000 per year? What kind of tax increases will this mean? Not all of us internet marketers are making $250,000 per year, but the ones that have turned the internet into a career rather than just a side job or hobby usually do pretty well.

Now, there is one last part of Obama’s plan that I see as a potential negative for internet marketers. He wants to “simplify tax filings for middle class Americans.” With this plan, Obama wants to make it so that millions of Americans can get their taxes done in less than five minute. They want to have the IRS use the info it gets from employers and the banks in order to give taxpayers the options of simple pre-filled tax forms that they can simply verify, sign, and return. As internet marketers, we know that there are a lot of tax benefits that come from being self-employed. Some of us work very hard in order to find as many tax deductions that we can. And others pay CPAs big money in order to find even bigger deductions.

If middle class Americans are given the option of getting pre-filled tax forms, I believe a huge majority of them will take it. Out of laziness, I believe a large number of these Americans will miss out on tons of legal tax breaks that they could receive for their families. Obama says that this plan can save Americans up to $2 billion in tax preparer fees. But I sit here and think to myself about how much some people save when they do have professionals file their taxes. I could be very wrong, but I think that this plan is a perfect plan for the government to issue a lot less refund checks to American citizens. This means less money for middle class American to spend at your site.

So, what will Obama’s economic plan do overall for your business? Well, I believe there are chances to see spikes in sales, but the truth is that we see spikes in sales all the time. It seems to me that there are almost an equal amount of positives and negatives with Obama’s plan. I think that most of our sales will stay around the same during the Obama candidacy. It will likely take a few years for this economy to really get back on its feet and moving again. What do you think?

Jacob Bogatin hopes to improve the medical system

Traditional way of illnesses treatment often seems to be rather ineffective. It is not a secret when because of poor quality medical service as well as because of doctors’ malpractice patients die and there is no one to be charged with this crime or manslaughter. Jacob Bogatin can freely talk about the way people are treated at hospitals and clinics. He can reveal the truth that has not been ever shown on TV or broadcast on the radio. Neither poorly qualified doctors nor the pills are to be blaimed for such outcomes but the government policy that closes eyes on such occasions. Jacob Bogatin thinks that the situation with healthcare can be greatly improved, at least it has a vast potential to be improved and the only thing that is necessary to find are the fundraises as well as installing new equippment at all the clinics across the country. The same may be said about training medical staff.

But until recently just a few changes have been made to the healthcare system and Jacob Bogatin hopes that with a new US President coming to the White House healthcare will be raised up to the next level where all the latest achievements in medicine will be put into practice, when just common people will be able to afford operations, surgical interference and medicines as well.

The Tax Lady Roni Deutch Analyzes the Tax Views of Sen. Barack Obama

obama
Roni Deutch asked:

Higher Taxes on Top Earning Americans

Senator Obama is a big believer in our progressive tax system – and he is not afraid to hide that. So one of the first things Obama is set to do is letting President Bush’s 2001 and 2003 tax cuts to selectively expire. He also advocates increasing the income cap on payroll taxes. This would essentially be a huge tax increase for taxpayers earning between $97,000.00 and $250,000.00, which goes against Obama’s prior commitment to not raise taxes on individuals making less than $250,000.00. Although higher taxes on the rich is a popular thought for many liberals, you cannot expect to only tax the rich and cut taxes for the poor. The American public is not likely to support unbalanced tax increases and this could harm his chances in the general election.

Close Corporate Loop-Holes

Another major component of Obama’s tax plan is to close hundreds of corporate “loop-holes” that allow massive corporations to questionably reduce their tax liability. “Instead of having all of us pay our fair share, we’ve got over $1 trillion worth of loopholes in the corporate tax code,” he claimed. “This isn’t the invisible hand of the market at work. It’s the successful work of special interests.” This plan would be highly efficient at creating new revenue for the federal government, but at what cost? Huge corporations are already moving factories and offices to countries with cheaper labor and more favorable corporate taxes. If the tax rates increase too much, then more corporations would likely move out of the country and it could result in thousands of lost jobs.

Senior Citizen Tax Breaks

Although it seems like an attempt to get the attention of the “senior voters” and the AARP, Obama is hoping to provide relief to millions of seniors struggling to make ends meet. His plan would eliminate federal taxes on seniors making less then $50,000.00 per year, which would account for $7 million dollars in total relief. It seems quite unlikely that the country would get behind this tax plan. I also have my own reservations – what about single mothers making less than $50,000 per year – that I expressed in a previous entry.

Make Work Pay Tax Credit

With his Make Work Pay tax credit, Obama is hoping to encourage Americans to take control of their lives, while providing tax relief to both low and middle income taxes. “I′d reward work by providing an income tax cut of up to $500 per person – or $1,000 for each working family – to offset the payroll tax that they’re already paying,” claimed Obama. “Because this credit would be greater than their income tax bill, my proposal would effectively eliminate all income taxes for 10 million working Americans.”

Capital Gain Tax Increase

Obama’s desire to increase the Capital Gains rate is probably the biggest actual increase of his tax plan. The current tax rate on Capital Gains is 15%, and Obama hopes to raise it to 28%. But although the Capital Gains tax rate is much lower today than it was a decade ago, it is being levied on a lot more people. Investing is not only for the rich, as there are millions of middle income Americans investing in stocks, retirement accounts, and mutual funds. In a time of a looming economic recession, we should be encouraging sound investment and savings strategies. Raising the capital gains rate is not going to do that.

Mortgage Relief for Homeowners

“Ten of the country’s largest mortgage lenders spent $185 million lobbying Washington so they could keep engaging in destructive practices,” claimed Obama. “And they got what they paid for. To help fix this problem Obama wants to create more accountability in the mortgage industry. In addition, he intends to pursue more tax breaks for current homeowners. Specifically, Obama announced intentions to “create a 10 percent universal mortgage credit to provide homeowners who do not itemize tax relief.”

Because it is a credit, individuals claiming the standard deduction would have access to it. Currently, mortgage interest is a deduction that can only be claimed by itemizing your deductions on your tax return. The credit would provide about $500 to 10 million homeowners in this country, mainly for individuals making less than $50,000 per year.

Revamp the AMT

Although Obama voted “nay” on repealing the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT), he does support a revamp of the tax. The specific details of his plan are a bit hazy, but Obama has claimed he would like to index the tax according to inflation so that it does not affect middle-income Americans. However, with dozens of social plans that cost billions of dollars to operate, the idea of reducing a tax that generates so much revenue for the government seems unlikely.

American Opportunity Tax Credit

One of Obama’s more popular tax views is to help make higher education more affordable for Americans by creating a credit to reimburse taxpayers for the costs of obtaining a college education. According to his plan, the credit would reimburse taxpayers on the first $4,000.00 they spend on a college education, and will cover two-thirds of the cost of attending a public college or university.

Immigration Reform and Undocumented Immigrant Taxes

Obama wants to reform the way the federal government deals with undocumented immigrants. Obama’s plan does have tax consequences, as it would not only require illegal aliens to file tax returns and pay income taxes, but would also require them to pay back taxes and the associated penalties and interest. If this idea became reality, it could account for millions of dollars in additional federal revenue. And, by not including tax amnesty in his immigration reform, Obama preemptively “plucks” a feather from the anti-immigration reform movement. It also preemptively stops American citizens from lobbying for similar treatment for their own unfiled tax returns and IRS back taxes.

Barack Obama’s Spread the Wealth Plan

obama
Josh Greenberger asked:

by Josh Greenberger

(October 17, 2008) Barack Obama to Joe the Plumber on October 13: ” … I’m gonna cut taxes a little bit more for the folks who are most in need. And for the 5% of the folks who are doing very well — even though they’ve been working hard, and I appreciate that — I just want to make sure they’re paying a little bit more in order to pay for those other tax cuts. Now, I respect the disagreement. I just want you to be clear, it’s not that I want to punish your success, I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you — that they’ve got a chance at success too.”

If this statement doesn’t worry you, you haven’t looked at it too closely. It’s been proven over and over that taking from those who’ve earned and giving it those who haven’t, doesn’t help those who gave or those who received — it ruins everybody!

The mortgage crisis we’re currently experiencing was about exactly that — giving “opportunities” to the less privileged, by taking (undeserved loans) from the banks. We all know how that turned out. It did not spread the wealth. It spread disaster.

Social promotion does not help underachievers, it only reduces overall achievement.

What Obama is proposing is another form of Affirmative Action. But, instead of giving a job that you qualify for to a less qualified person, he wants to give money that you’ve earned to someone who has not. This is absolutely outrages.

Institutionalized handouts do not make people do better it only makes them expect more. Obama’s plan would turn the entire U.S. into an “inner city.” Can you think of a more counterproductive plan?

Why does Obama’s plan for giving people a “chance at success″ revolve around taking from others, to begin with? It does not produce more goods and services, it only (unethically) reshuffles what we have.

There are options that take from no one and give to everyone.

A reduction in fuel costs would put money in the pocket of every American by reducing the price of a long list of other goods and services — and we wouldn’t have to take money from anyone. All we have to do is lift all oil drilling restrictions.

But Obama’s answer to lifting oil drilling restrictions, as Senator McCain pointed out, is he’ll “look at it?”

Let me see if I understand this correctly. To take money from one person and give it to another, that Obama doesn′t have to “look at,” he “knows” it’ll work, despite the fact that other such programs have failed miserably. But lifting drilling restrictions, which has absolutely no drawbacks, no downside, it takes money out of no one’s pocket, it’ll produce jobs, it’ll stimulate the economy even before gas prices drop drastically — that he has to “look at?” Is he kidding? It’s almost as if Obama’s working for an enemy country and trying to bring us down.

And this nonsense about how well Obama carries himself in debates is idiocy. There’s no question Obama came off calmer and “cooler” than McCain in the presidential debates. (Maybe Obama wouldn’t be so calm and cool if he had gone through in life what McCain has gone through, but that’s a whole other discussion.) But the notion that Obama would do better as a president because he debates better or comes off better is foolish. Who’s he going to debate as president; bin Laden, Achmedinejad, OPEC, the Caribou reindeer in Alaska?

And do we really want a president whose going to look calm and cool while we’re being nuked by Achmedinejad, or would we rather have a president who knows how to deal with brutal regimes?

Obama being plagued with allegations of links to shady people and activities — from associating with a terrorist to ACORN’s election scandals to threatening legal action against people who criticize him — should give you pause for thought. McCain, on the other hand, who’s been reviled by a media that is no friend of republicans and attacked by Obama, has not had one credible accusation of unethical behavior lodged against him that even needed defending. Doesn’t this alone tell you something about the character of the two candidates?

It’s difficult to understand why even blacks would want to vote for Obama. Sure it would be nice to have a black president, but doesn’t the character of the person mean anything? If we had a respectable black candidate running against a shady white candidate, the majority of whites, I believe, would not vote for the white candidate simply because he’s white. What good is a president of your ethnic background if he serves no one’s interest?

Essentially, what we’re faced with is a saint who doesn’t come off very well and a devil who wants to sweet talk you out of your soul. Which one do you think is in your interest to vote for?

What Does Barack Obama’s Presidency Mean for Internet Marketers?

obama
Dan Dimit asked:

Copyright (c) 2008 Dan Dimit

When it comes to Barack Obama’s new economic plan, there are positive and negative aspects. Some parts the plan should help us out as internet marketers. There are other parts that might hurt us. First, let’s start with the best news…we internet marketers are a resourceful bunch and we’ll probably make sure that everything goes well for our future no matter what.

That reminds me…before I go on, I will stick my opinion where it may or may not belong. Both candidates said “The American people are innocent victims of this financial disaster”…um, are you kidding me? I can’t think of a more dangerous thing to say. No one had guns to their heads when they signed those home loans! When American citizens completely stop taking responsibility for their own actions, as the candidates encouraged, then America loses its advantage as the superpower in the world. I know they were trying to win votes, but that’s just irresponsible.

My audience—internet marketers and entrepreneurs—will take care of themselves. They don’t WANT the government to take care of them. That’s how it should be and it’s that very attitude that makes them successful and independent to begin with. If everyone thought like and entrepreneur, we, er, the country wouldn’t be in this mess in the first place.

Okay, back to economic policy. The most exciting thing for internet marketers in Obama’s new economic plan is the deployment of what politicians are calling Next-Generation Broadband. This happens with flash sites. Overall, with this plan implemented, more of America should spend even more time online, meaning more chances for you to make a sale.

There are a couple of other parts of Obama’s economic plan that could turn into positives depending on your market niche. Part of the Obama plan is to issue an emergency energy rebate for $1,000. This rebate is said to be a type of “down payment″ for Obama’s long-term plan to give middle-class families at least $1,000 per year in tax savings. I’m sure you have heard this statistic: The personal savings rate here in the United States is the lowest that it has been since the Great Depression. We’ve turned into a society of instant gratification. As much as we would love many Americans to put this extra $1,000 towards savings or debt, I believe most everyone will continue to spend this extra income on whatever they want. So that means there’s an extra $1,000 each year that families could use to make even more online purchases.

O.K., now for the negative aspects of Obama′s plan: All through the debates you have heard Obama say that nobody making less than $250,000 per year will see a tax increase. The sad thing is that we usually worked daunting schedules for years in order to enjoy a little of this “getting ahead”. Now this group of superachievers is being targeted as a cash machine. Obama has said on camera “It’s time for folks who make over $250K to pay their fair share”. It makes me want to throw up.

What a relief it gives us to look at history and see that no politician has ever kept all of his or her promises.

Now, there is one last part of Obama’s plan that I see as a potential negative for internet marketers. He wants to “simplify tax filings for middle class Americans.” With this plan, Obama wants to make it so that millions of Americans can get their taxes done in less than five minute. They want to have the IRS use the info it gets from employers and the banks in order to give taxpayers the option of simple pre-filled tax forms that they can simply verify, sign, and return. Obama says that this plan can save Americans up to $2 billion in tax preparer fees. But I sit here and think to myself about how much some people save when they do have professionals file their taxes. I′m not a conspiracy theorist, but I think that this could be construed as a perfect plan for the government to issue a lot less refund checks to American citizens. And my main point of negative for this part of Obama’s plan is less money for middle class American to spend at your site.

So, what will Obama’s economic plan do overall for your business? Well, I believe there are chances to see spikes in sales, but the truth is that we see spikes in sales all the time, anyway. It seems to me that there are really less positives than negatives with Obama’s plan. But I think that most of our sales will stay around the same during the Obama regime.

As long as there is a small percentage of entrepreneurs in America, the economy will be fine in the long run and we will figure out for ourselves how to thrive in the short run, in a good or a bad economic climate. Real business minds always rise above the zeitgeist.

Will the Real Barack Obama Please Stand Up

obama
James William Smith asked:

The media reaction to the recent ABC Presidential debate in Pennsylvania was almost unanimous. Television moderators Charles Gibson and George Stephanopoulos were widely ridiculed for not asking a single question on an issue of political substance for more than the first fifty minutes of the Presidential debate. Indeed, there was not a single question on health care, the war in Iraq, the economy, illegal immigration, social security, or any other of the important challenges and issues facing America today.

Instead, for nearly the first hour of the debate, the voters heard questions concerning Barrack Obama’s recent dubious comments on small town America. In addition, the ABC moderators focused several questions on Obama’s relationship with his pastor, the controversial Reverend Jeremiah Wright. Another debate question concerned whether Obama loves the American flag and why he does not wear flag pins on his suit lapel. Still another question concerned Barack Obama’s relationship with the former radical leader of the “Weathermen“, William Ayers.

While some of the criticism of the coverage of the Democrats Pennsylvania debate is certainly valid (especially troubling were the continued camera shots of Former First daughter, Chelsea Clinton), the questions posed by the moderators in those first fifty minutes were exactly the types of questions that the American voter now needs answered in order to vote for or against Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama.

It is evident that the country is aware that Barack Obama is to the left of the American political center on most of the major issues. It also appears from the public opinion polls that much of the American public would currently support an inexperienced, liberal, Democratic politician in the 2008 Presidential election. In fact, the polls indicate that if an election between John McCain and Barack Obama was held today, it would certainly be very close.

So a pertinent question in the mind of the American voter is really just how far to the left of center are the politics of Barack Obama? The ultimate answer to that question will probably decide the 2008 Presidential election. Therefore, the questions in the first fifty two minutes of the ABC Presidential debate, while not about national issues, were certainly not frivolous and actually quite important.

Consider that Barack Obama is running for the highest office in the land on a very short political record. He has been a United States Senator for just three years. Prior to that he was a State Senator in Illinois. His political record is short and his voting record appears carefully designed with a future campaign for a high office in mind.

In announcing the reason for his candidacy for the Presidency, Barack Obama said: “What’s stopped us is the failure of leadership, the smallness of our politics, the ease with which we’re distracted by the petty and trivial, our chronic avoidance of tough decisions”. His oratory sounds wonderful until one examines his actual record as an Illinois State Senator. That record indicates that he voted “present,” (effectively sidestepping many important issues) nearly 130 times. It is a political voting record that gives little insight into today‘s presidential candidate. It is also a voting record that is in conflict with the words of the man.

As a result, in the minds of the voters, there are really two distinct Presidential candidates named Barack Obama. Which of the two is the actual candidate is the biggest question the voters must answer between now and election day. The fact is that the Barack Obama who cannot win is the candidate who secretly agrees with the diatribes of his pastor, Jeremiah Wright. He also supports Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers, and other extreme activists of the American left. The Barack Obama who cannot win is the candidate that makes elitist comments about small town America and its guns and religion. The Barack Obama who cannot win is the candidate that continues to backpedal and apologize for gaffes and communication errors.

However, the Barack Obama who can win the 2008 Presidential election is the candidate who uses his considerable communication skills to unite the nation. Also, he must be a candidate who transcends partisan politics and wants real reform in Washington, D.C. He would learn quickly from his limited experience and cannot vote “present″ on the major issues of the day. He may not be an elitist, but should be the candidate who has shown great skill in the management of his heretofore successful Presidential campaign.

Is Barack Obama a unique, thoughtful politician who can transcend party politics and use his considerable oratory skill to lead the country and reform Washington DC.? Or is Barack Obama a far left of center, elitist candidate who secretly admires the dubious diatribes of his radical pastor, and who condones the actions of a violent underground leader of America’s past?

Historically, American political reality concludes that the former Barack Obama can win the 2008 Presidential election, while the latter Barack Obama simply cannot. It certainly would be a lot easier for the voters during the next several months if the real Barack Obama finally stood up.

Lawsuit Claims Obama not a US Citizen

obama
michael Webster asked:

By Michael Webster: Investigative Reporter Aug 22, 2008 10:30 AM PST

The complaint is asking for declaratory (asking the court to declare Obama is not a US citizen, a “natural born” citizen and not eligible under the qualifications of the US Constitution to run for Office of President).

The law suite is asking for a temporary restraining order (TRO) prohibiting Obama from running for President until documents are provided proving he is eligible to run for POTUS.

The lawsuit was filed by a Phillip J. Berg (former chair of the PA democratic party)  in Philadelphia courthouse against Barack Obama and the DNC for Obama’s ineligibility to run for President of the United States based on his not being a “natural born” citizen:

The lawsuit contends that Obama has held multiple (Kenya and Indonesia citizenships) and that he was actually born in Kenya, not Hawaii as Obama has claimed.  The lawsuit has also been filed against the DNC.

The prominent Philadelphia attorney and Hillary Clinton supporter filed the suite in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Illinois Sen. Barack Obama and the Democratic National Committee. The suite further seeks an injunction preventing the senator from continuing his candidacy and a court order enjoining the DNC from nominating him at the upcoming Demo convention. The law suite claims that Sen. Obama is constitutionally ineligible to run for and hold the office of President of the United States.

Phillip Berg, the filing attorney, is a former gubernatorial and senatorial candidate, former chair of the Democratic Party in Montgomery (PA) County, former member of the Democratic State Committee, and former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania. According to Berg, he filed the suit–just days before the DNC are to hold its nominating convention in Denver–for the health of the Democratic Party.

“I filed this action at this time,” Berg stated, “to avoid the obvious problems that will occur when the Republican Party raises these issues after Obama is nominated.”

Berg cited a number of unanswered questions regarding the Illinois senator’s background, and in the lawsuit documents maintained that Sen. Obama is not a naturalized U.S. citizen or that, if he ever was, he lost his citizenship when he was adopted in Indonesia. Berg also cites what he calls “dual loyalties” due to his citizenship and ties with Kenya and Indonesia.

Even if Sen. Obama can prove his U.S. citizenship, Berg stated, citing the senator’s use of a birth certificate from the state of Hawaii verified as a forgery by three independent document forensic experts, the issue of “multi-citizenship with responsibilities owed to and allegiance to other countries” remains on the table.

In the lawsuit, Berg states that Sen. Obama was born in Kenya, and not in Hawaii as the senator maintains. Before giving birth, according to the lawsuit, Obama’s mother traveled to Kenya with his father but was prevented from flying back to Hawaii because of the late stage of her pregnancy, “apparently a normal restriction to avoid births during a flight.” As Sen. Obama’s own paternal grandmother, half-brother and half-sister have also claimed, Berg maintains that Stanley Ann Dunham–Obama’s mother–gave birth to little Barack in Kenya and subsequently flew to Hawaii to register the birth.

Berg cites inconsistent accounts of Sen. Obama’s birth, including reports that he was born at two separate hospitals–Kapiolani Hospital and Queens Hospital–in Honolulu, as well a profound lack of birthing records for Stanley Ann Dunham, though simple “registry of birth″ records for Barack Obama are available in a Hawaiian public records office.

Should Sen. Obama truly have been born in Kenya, Berg writes, the laws on the books at the time of his birth hold that U.S. citizenship may only pass to a child born overseas to a U.S. citizen parent and non-citizen parent if the former was at least 19 years of age. Sen. Obama’s mother was only 18 at the time. Therefore, because U.S. citizenship could not legally be passed on to him, Obama could not be registered as a “natural born” citizen and would therefore be ineligible to seek the presidency pursuant to Article II, Section 1 of the United States Constitution.

Moreover, even if Sen. Obama could have somehow been deemed “natural born,” that citizenship was lost in or around 1967 when he and his mother took up residency in Indonesia, where Stanley Ann Dunham married Lolo Soetoro, an Indonesian citizen. Berg also states that he possesses copies of Sen. Obama’s registration to Fransiskus Assisi School in Jakarta, Indonesia which clearly show that he was registered under the name “Barry Soetoro” and his citizenship listed as Indonesian.

The Hawaiian birth certificate, Berg says, is a forgery. In the suit, the attorney states that the birth certificate on record is a forgery, has been identified as such by three independent document forensic experts, and actually belonged to Maya Kasandra Soetoro, Sen. Obama’s half-sister.

“Voters donated money, goods and services to elect a nominee and were defrauded by Sen. Obama’s lies and obfuscations,” Berg stated. “If the DNC officers … had performed one ounce of due diligence we would not find ourselves in this emergency predicament, one week away from making a person the nominee who has lost their citizenship as a child and failed to even perform the basic steps of regaining citizenship as prescribed by constitutional laws.”

“It is unfair to the country,” he continued, “for candidates of either party to become the nominee when there is any question of the ability to serve if elected.”
