My friend was really bragging me to watch this movie. I wasn’t really excited since I haven’t seen the trailer and I thought this is another fancy kid movie. I was watching chipminks when I was a kid and I really enjoyed it. But the thought that I’m older and I’m really not into watching cartoons anymore. But I can’t say no from my friends so to make it short I went to the movie house with them to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks Movie.
When I was sitting on the movie hous I really had no idea on what the story would it be like for all I know is I will be watching the same old 3 tiny voiced squirrels. So the movie started and we were serenaded by the chipmunks singing an alternative song while they’re storing foods for the winter. Imagine the Chipmunks singing the song “Bad Day by Fuel”. That was awsome! So the now the chipmunks got me interested in watching the whole movie.
They were sent to the city because the tree where they live was made a christmas tree for a building in a civilized city. That is were they end up being with Dave a song writer who’s career is crashing down because he’s always late and doesn’t think about his responsibilities in life.
Dave Seville (played by Jason Lee) is just about to abandon his career as a song writer when he crosses paths with orphaned baby chipmunk siblings. To his surprise and good fortune, they just happen to be amazing singers and dancers. If you saw the movie the first dance the they made was really hillarious they really dance well with good choreography and the voices reallyb blends well. Though this is just an animation you will really enjoy watching them dancing.
Im writing about this movie because I thought that theres I love the twist and turns of the movie.
David (Hayden Christensen) is a highschool guy that endures the life of a kid always being bullied by almost everyone. A quiet guy that was left by his mother when he was 5 without any reason and he never know why and his dad has a drinking and anger management problem. He discovered his special power when a guy made fun of him and threw the the crystal ball he gave to a girl he like in a lake of ice. He went there to get it but when he picked it up the ice broke and he fell in the lake of ice. He was close to drowning to drowning but suddenly an just a flash he was able to teleport in a university library. That was the time he discovered that he has a teleporting powers. Being able to go to one place to another in a flash, without opening any doors or breaking any wall.
This teleportation talent shows up out of nowhere, but David doesn’t seem shocked or surprised to find he’s able to go wherever he wants.And wWhen he found out about the his teleporting power, he runaway from his father to leave alone and discover more on how his power works. And the first thing he thought of doing is getting money from a bank or in short robbing the vault of the bank. Where I find it exciting. If i will ask you: If you have the same power what first will you do? If I were Dave I’ll do the same thing get rich first and get whatever I want without anyone knowing.
And the adveture moves on he was able to get everything he wants and go anywhere he wants. And the film showed what he is after around ten years, leaving a wealthy life. Going from one place or country to country in a split of a second. All he does is enjoy going anywhere he wants and buy anything he wants with the all the money he robbed from the bank. But everything has a consequence and he was able to be tracked by paladins who kill jumpers because they believe that only God can have such a power being in one place to another in such a tick of a clock.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch or in Egypt or Rome or London or wherever, David finds out he’s not all that special. He meets Griffin (Jamie Bell), a much more seasoned traveler whose only goal in life is to kill Paladins in general and Roland (Samuel l. Jackson) in particular. After deciding to team up like comic book superheroes sometimes do when publishers are trying to sell more copies, David and Griffin spend the rest of the movie alternately seeking out and running away from Roland. And, of course, David’s girlfriend gets in the way because that’s what women do in this type of movie. But in the end David defeated Roland by bringing him in the middle Grand Canyon where no one can get out without any air transportation.
Ok heres my first movie review at this blog and please dont criticize my review that much since i’m just a beginner on reviewing movies.. 
Ok earlier we went to downtown to buy some stuffs. A lot of sidewalk vendor selling things that may interest other people. And since we are there i decided to buy some “Pirated” DVD coz its much cheaper than the original. hehe I bought a copy of Cloverfield movie coz i read a lot of reviews on the net that this movie is a hit in United States so i bought it. When we arrived at home my brother immediately grab the dvd and put it on our dvd player he seems too excited too..
Then we watched this movie cloverfield. At first it looks like a blairwitch project type of movie. A man holding a digital video camera filming everything he saw. Ok i wont spoil the movie too much coz its unfair to others who didnt watch it yet. I will jump to conclusion now.
The movie is ok at first. It will give you a chill but i think that would be better on a big screen. But theres a lot of cons about this movie. The camera too shakey i dont recommend it to people who are 30+ years old coz it will make you dizzy.. And this movie is too short. I think its about 1 hour only and the ending sucks bigtime. You will never know if they’re dead after that big earthquake or if soldiers can beat that huge monster. I bet there will be a sequel for this movie and i think im gonna watch it again even if i didnt really enjoy that movie..
