Why didn’t the people opposed to the proposition of marriage “being only between one man and one woman” (Prop 8 in California for example), offer their own proposition for the ballot for voters to choose?
If I am not mistaken there is another election in approx 2 years right, why not try to do it that way verses protesting and trying to use the courts to overturn the majority of the people?
Please answer respectfully, and please let this question be heard. It is a valid question and is not ment to to degrade your choice or lifestyle. I respectfully request that you would be “community Guideline” disapprover’s give this question a chance. Thanks

Marriage is a man and a woman united into one soul by God our Father in Heaven.
And just as they did with God’s rainbow they want to do with marriage which is make it into a symbol of homosexuality.
Also they’ll be able to successfully destroy Churches each time one refuses to marry them by suing them and having their tax exempt status taken away.
I have never known a homosexual who sincerely loves God and wants to please God by living a moral and Godly life like Jesus did.
Instead they blaspheme Him and do all sorts of wicked things to show their hatred of Him and how proud they are to be ‘gay’ (which used to mean happy but now means homosexual).
They already have all the same rights as same sex couples that married people have so why all the hatefulness about not being able to go before a man of God and recite their vows?
This country is going mad for even having such a discussion let alone voting for it.
I can just see it now…. in the future it will be considered gay to want to get married so men and women will just live together or date.
What the person said above me is true.
In Fremont Ca. a group of homosexuals went to a School to teach young children how normal their lifestyle is and parents had to pull their children out of School to protect them from inappropriate and perverted indoctrination.
This happened about three weeks before Prop. 8 passed but since SB777 was passed into law in Jan. 2008 all they need is a little shove in the wrong direction to meet their highly anticipated goals.
This is one of the reasons I just pulled my son out of Public School and am now homeschooling him where he’s safe from predators.
Did I forget to mention that in 2008 shortly after SB777 passed our Governator tried to make it law that anyone homeschooling would have to have a degree in teaching or the children would have to go back into the public school system?
I wonder whose idea that was????
Marriage isn’t that important to them, except that it’s a stepping stone to achieve a far more sinister agenda, which is to indoctrinate young children into their deviant lifestyle. Once gay marraige becomes legal, then schools will be mandated by leftist government bureaucrats to teach young kids that homosexuality is “normal” and “acceptable,” which most of us with at least half a brain realize it purely abnormal and an abomination to the natural order of things. Then, the homosexual agenda goes into full gear, coercing future generations into their sick, perverted ways, fresh meat for the damned vultures.
Thankfully, enough people realized the grave threat the homosexual mafia posed to our children and our moral values.
I don’t think they expected prop 8 to pass. I’m sure they will try to have something to overturn prop 8 but I heard it will cost about a BILLION dollars to get something on the ballot and passed so that’ a lot of money.
I doubt the SC will hear this since it’s a state issue. There is no federal “right” to marry.
They can’t wait 2 years and they are the minority so they won’t have enough vote to overturn the majority.
