I’m reading some information on the upcoming season 8 and it appears that Lex is ‘missing”? I mean I thought he was going to “control” clark with that device that took forever to find in that hell hole they called season 7 of smallville. The story line was horrible and I’m a huge fan. If anyone can give me some really good information I will truly appreciate it.

Unfortunately, they don’t really show what happened to Lex in “artic” other than he grabbed that globe thing and the fortress started falling down. I’m going to be really pissed if he just magically disappears, something involved with memory loss happens, or, worse, if it was all a dream/vision/whatever.
He definitely isn’t dead and may make 1 or 2 appearances on season 8.
Well…. When the fortress of Solitude broke down, Something happened to Lex which results in him being presumed dead in season 8. Clark is working on a ship when the Justice Leauge come to rescue him. In season 8 Lex is dead, Presumed dead and a girl named Tess takes over his role. Clark and Tess become enemeys, Untill Tess trys to remember her past, So Lex died. He is dead and it is highly likely that we will not see him this season,
